Najuqsivik’s main mission is to promote and preserve Inuit culture through economic and cultural projects. Najuqsivik is currently active in promoting Inuit culture: Najuqsivik operates a non-profit daycare, frame-shop, radio and television stations, community museum (Inuit history), and provides training and assistance to local artists in various skills such as framing, making fishskin dolls, grass baskets, kumak sticks, model kayaks and polar bear rugs. Our financial success depends on a patchwork of sources including contracting services to government, craft sales, bingo, government grants, photography, and leasing a building to Arctic College.
