Nuiyak School officially opened in the fall of 1986.

Our school is Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Inuttitut is the primary language of instruction from Kindergarten to Grade 3. Students are taught English as second language.

Grades 4, 5, and 6 are taught 50% in Inuktitut and 50% in English.

In Grades 7 to 12, English is the primary languuage of instruction.

We have monthly assemblies every month and we invite anyone who wants to participate in our get together. Parents and the community are welcome to our school for any activity that is held at our school.
